Austral Journal of Veterinary Sciences is a scientific journal published by the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences at the Universidad Austral de Chile, and it is sponsored by the University’s Department of Research and Development. It is an Open Access journal which allows its readers free access to all published articles. Impact Factor: In 2017, Archivos de Medicina Veterinaria changed its name to Austral Journal of Veterinary Science (Austral J Vet Sci).

Austral Journal of Veterinary Sciences, formerly Archivos de Medicina Veterinaria, publishes original scientific contributions in english, containing the latest developments and discoveries in veterinary sciences. The journal covers topics such as animal health and production, preventive medicine, zoonosis, pharmacology and therapeutics, methods of diagnosis, and other areas related to the veterinary field.
